I love that I suck

One of the best scenes in “Keeping the Faith” is Ben Stiller telling a boy before his bar mitzvah that he’s supposed to suck at reading the Torah. He says G-d knew his voice would change at 13 and that’s why he gave him the challenge of singing in front of an audience.

Ben’s advice? Embrace the suck. OWN IT.

I thought about this when attempting to run an 11 minutes mile through the DC humidity this week.
