You know what really sticks in my craw? Saturday races, that’s what.
Saturday races are annoying because you have to go to the expo during the work week and because instead of spending the preivous day resting, laying out your clothes, and packing your breakfast, you have to go to work. Boo.
Races should be on Sundays, as G-d intended it.
And on the 7th day, He did a triathlon. And it was good.
Anyways, that makes today Rock and Roll eve. So tonight I will go to bed at 9pm, wake up at 5am, put on a garbage bag like a shirt, and start walking towards the metro. Awesome.
To recap- if you want to come spectate, there are some good spectator spots at mile 11 along H street. Also the race goes right by your house, Tracy. Yeah, I’m talking to you. The post-race plan is to head to Eastern Market for brunch at Ted’s Bulletin. Ted’s doesn’t take reservations, so we’ll see how that goes. All are welcome. Call Will, not me. I’ll be busy running.
Also, not to be a whiner, but holy hell it’s windy. Let’s all cross our fingers for a break from the wind.
